The Peace Pipes were a late 60's - early 70's thing. that very probably never worked? There's too many descreprncies like where's the coils if it is ignition and why didn't he use glow? In the early 50's, adapters were available to use 1/4-32 plugs in one of those 3/8" holes where the Champions are. Sure seemed to me like a unrealistic price for a P.O.S. The HB carbs are from the 70's? The other parts look like the 40's. The E-bay car appears to be made from various parts of other devices. ![]() The smell was from the nitro benzene used in the fuel. Used the old O&R red fuel that smelled like shoe polish. We would run them when it was too windy to fly U/C. I also had another car that had a Camron 19 in it. It ran on glow and I cranked it on a spinning bicycle rear wheel. The wire broke and tore the car all to pieces against a steel fence post. It was all die cast construction with no resemblance to the car shown in the E-Bay pictures in the post up above. It had a side mounted engine in the rear.
